Great choice! Now, Digital Radiography generally refers to one of two system types: flat panel or charge-coupled devices (CCD). Select one of the two below so we can further narrow your search.

Revo2 DuoView and RadView use a cesium screen, which produces a brighter image with greater resolution. Revo2 systems employ a Carl Zeiss lens of superior quality and the latest generation CCD chip manufactured specifically for digital radiography. In order to reduce electronic “noise” in the detector, the DuoView system cools the chip to negative 20 degrees centigrade. Other vendors’ CCD systems do not have this noise reduction feature.
Generally speaking, flat panel systems and later generation CCD systems produce generally comparable image resolution. However, the flat panel lies directly in the x-ray beam. Constant radiation degrades the panel and leads to a shortened service life in comparison to the Revo2 CCD detector, which is protected from the x-ray radiation.
