DuoView system permits (for the first time) large survey x-rays and high resolution images from the same equipment, eliminating the provider’s need for two different x-ray detectors. This drastically reduces both the equipment cost as well as the x-ray cost, and at the same time produces an x-ray picture with spatial resolution heretofore unattainable from existing x-ray technology.  Pocket pets and small animals in veterinary medicine have been a major challenge for digital radiography. REVO2’s new technology solves this problem at half the price of existing equipment.

 

The DuoView System – An Integrated Solution

 

Unlike  all competitors’ digital systems which effectively have a fixed focus on their fluorescent screen, the Revo2’s DuoView system has the ability to capture an image from the standard 14 inch by 17 inch radiographic plate as well as to zoom in to a 7 inch by 7 inch area in the center of the typical radiographic plate, thereby dedicating all of the CCD chip’s pixels to an image area one quarter the size of the traditional plate. This dramatically increases the crispness and resolution of the image which is important when viewing smaller anatomical parts. To achieve this same degree of clarity with a competitor’s system, an entirely separate system with a 7 inch by 7 inch plate would be required, effectively doubling the cost of the radiology suite.
